A very large crowd awaited anxiously for Sara Horowitz, author of The Freelancer’s Bible, to begin her discussion on her acclaimed book. The book is a great guide to everything you need in order to live life as a freelancer. Horowitz is the co-founder of the Freelancer’s Union which gives many different types of freelancers access to pertinent  information and helps them connect with each other – The Freelancer’s Bible is the tangible efforts that stems from the growing organization.

As a photographer who freelance’s often, so many of Sara’s advice resonated to my life. It was such a great opportunity to not only photograph her event, but to learn from it.

The Making News Party was definitely making some news when members of the media finally can cut loose and have a good time! It was a great night for many different media outlets to make connections or catch up! A few notable VIP’s came through to make an appearance at the party which included: Actor Daniel Dae Kim, CBS Morning Co-anchor Gayle King and daughter Kirby, Catfish: TV Show Nev Schulman and Max Joseph, Chef Huda of The Taste, Chef Spike Mendelsohn from Top Chef, Grammy winning sax player Ski Johnson and The Bumbys who made an honest appraisal of your appearance!
