Phantogram @ Rams Head Live (Baltimore, MD)

I admit, I’ve only recently started to enjoy the musical stylings of Phantogram – which kind of reminds me of a combination of Passion Pit and Little Dragon in one – but better.  Sarah Barthel‘s airy vocals echo throughout their album, Nightlife, with power and grace in songs such as “Don’t Move” and “Voices”, but it is in the song ”When I’m Small”  that her vocal talents are highly showcased (imho). Josh Carter‘s guitar riffs and backup vocals help round out the duo’s musical direction along with the electronic beat samplings that they dubbed as “psych pop.” Phantogram’s music definitely takes you into another world. It grabs hold and never lets go.
