DRAKE aka Drizzy Drake aka Aubrey Drake Graham undressed women with his words at the Verizon Center during the start of the Memorial Day holiday. On his Paradise Tour, he brought some of his friends to open up the show for him. Not one, not two but FOUR opening acts.
First to get the crowd going, 2 Chainz. His collaboration on Nicki Minaj’s current hit single Beez in the Trap is gaining airplay and name recognition. But, his own current single No Lie featuring Drake (the man of the hour) is the inauguration to Drake’s posse.
Next up, Meek Mill. He’s done collaborations with Rick Ross on Tupac Back and Ima Boss in 2011 and looking forward to what he’s got in store in 2012.
Third in line, Waka Flocka Flame or Waka Flocka for short. Who doesn’t like saying Waka Flocka? So fun to say. If you haven’t heard the name, he was part of the immensely popular and successful summer anthem of 2010/2011 No Hands. Also take a look at Wild Boy. He’s a he’s a wild boy.
Lastly (but definitely not the least) J. Cole did an amazing set to some of his most notable radio songs like Work Out and Can’t Get Enough. He also collaborated with Drizzy Drake on the single In the Morning.
Once all the opening acts finished their sets, the stage opened to Drake performing in front of a screen of women’s faces. It was a homage to what he appreciated in the world.
So thank you Drake. I got your message and I’m picking up what you’re putting down.
…YOLO…
